FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method and apparatus are used for low-temperature fractionation of a fluid mixture. Fluid mixture is introduced into a separation column. At least a portion of sump liquid from separation column is introduced into a sump evaporator and at least partly evaporated there. At least a portion of vapour produced in sump evaporator is led back into a lower section of separation column. Top product is removed at top of separation column, and a sump product is removed from sump of separation column or from sump evaporator. Sump evaporator is operated by means of inductive heating.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at creating a technically simple and reliable evaporator.
