SUBSTANCE: method includes: provision of container with curved outer surface; provision of label; application of labels by means of glue on container outer surface, including operations, at which: first, label is brought into contact with container along label front edge; and then label is smoothed to container by means of selective smoothing process.

EFFECT: method and system to prevent defects in label applied on container with curvilinear surface are described.
