FIELD: nuclear power.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to atomic power engineering, namely to devices for storage of spent nuclear fuel cells of RBMK-1000 reactor in a dry storage, and is intended for cutting a weld cover seam with a canister case in the rotary shaft of the canisters setting chamber. Proposed plant comprises a rotary shaft with a rotation drive and clamping devices, a mechanism for installation and retention of the cover and a device for cutting the weld cover seam with the case, which is fixed on the canister cover by manipulators. Cutting tool used in the device is a grinding machine with a cutting wheel and a cutting products collector installed so that the cutting wheel is located perpendicular to generatrix of the canister case at the level of the weld seam. Device is equipped with mechanisms for feeding and removing the grinding machine from the weld seam and tuning it to the depth of penetration, controlled by an electromechanical and a slave manipulators.
EFFECT: invention allows creating a detachable device for cutting off the welded seam, reducing the volume of the cut weld seam metal and reducing duration of opening.
