METHOD OF GRIPPING, TENSION AND RELEASE OF BOW STRING WITH BOW ARROW Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC F41B5/00 

FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, namely to methods of capture, tensioning and release of bow string with bow arrow. In method arrow is placed on bowstring, bowstring is placed into head, which is located in housing, locking head by retainer, which is hinged arranged in housing. Head is made of two identical U-section bell cranks with grooves for bow string and sealing elements for arrow tail, cranks are arranged hinged in housing, each on its axis. When firing bow-string is placed in grooves between bell cranks one ends, and arrow tail is between sealing elements, placing retainer fitted between bell cranks second ends, moving is towards axes side, by which bow-string and arrow tail are clamped. Bowstring is pulled by handle, to which housing is attached, and, displacing retainer away from axes, releasing cranks second ends, which creates conditions for bowstring and arrow release and making shot.

EFFECT: enabling higher bow firing efficiency and reliability, as well as reduced sounds of shot.
