FIELD: weapon.
SUBSTANCE: arbalest is used in sportive shooting, hunting and by special troops of armed forces. Arbalest has a stock, butt, cocking lever, handle, trigger mechanism consisting of a trigger, breech head and trigger guard, working and tightening part of a bow string. The working part of the bow string is a front part of the bow string, tensioning part of the bow string is disposed behind the trigger mechanism, note that, the working and tightening parts of the bow string are placed in one plane.
EFFECT: simplification of the construction of the tightening mechanism of arbalest, reduction of preparation time for shooting, increase of arbalest power and simplification of arbalest assembly/disassembly.
