SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method for absorption of carbon dioxide with reduced risk of aerosol formation from a stream containing carbon dioxide, in an absorption apparatus having a specific sequence of sections, where said method comprises specific steps. Another aspect of invention relates to use of a structured packing as part of a carbon dioxide absorption section, said application consists in reduction of risk of formation of aerosol is upper area of carbon dioxide absorption section.

EFFECT: invention enables to reduce risk of aerosol formation.
