FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary surgery. Single-row serous-muscular-submucosal suture of stomach and large intestine is applied with one long thread in cats and small dogs. Stick-in is made from side of serous shell, stick-out is made in submucosal layer without mucous membrane intake. First suture is linear stitches 2.5-3.5 mm long one on each side of wound. Tie-in loop completes linear stitches. Step from wound edges at 3.0 mm. Distance between stitches and their dimensions 1.0-1.5 mm are maintained. It is repeated until complete closing of wound. Suture is completed by 3-4 sea knots.
EFFECT: method of closing operating wounds of stomach and large intestine in cats and small dogs prevents early necrobioses during formation of wound scar, eliminates wick-forming of threads, leads to formation of delicate wound scar.
