METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING SEVERITY OF ATTACK IN PATIENTS WITH CROHN'S DISEASE Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G01N33/49 G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2602300 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and concerns a method for diagnosing severity of attack in patients with Crohn's disease. Proposed method comprises defining erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP) concentration, vascular endothelial factor (VEF) in serum, calculating the number of desquamated endotheliocytes (DEC) in blood plasma, assessing microalbumin (MAU) concentration in urine. Severity of attack is calculated by formula: TA=-0.2421+0.0016*WEF+0.0602*DEC+0.0442*MAU+0.0047*ESR-0.0104*CRP, where TA - severity of attack of Crohn's disease, -0.2421 - constant, 0.0016, 0.0602, 0.0442 - coefficients calculated by multiple regression, VEF - vascular endothelial serum factor (pg/ml), DEC - number of desquamated endotheliocytes (×104/l), MAU - microalbumin urine test (mg/l), ESR - erythrocyte sedimentation rate (mm/h), CRP - C-reactive protein (mg/l). TA value which is less than 0.4 indicates the absence of attack, i.e. absence of remission, TA which is from 0.4 to 1.4 indicates mild attack of Crohn's disease, value in the range from 1.5 to 2.4 indicates moderate severity level of attack, TA equal to 2.5 and more corresponds to severe attack.

EFFECT: method provides increased accuracy of determining severity of attack in patients with Crohn's disease.
