METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING SEVERITY OF ATTACK IN PATIENTS WITH ULCERATIVE COLITIS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2647838 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is method for diagnosing the severity of attack in patients with ulcerative colitis, characterized by calculating the severity of the attack according to the formula: CTA=-0.815-0.034*TNF-α+0.018*CRP+0.016*ESR+0.155*α2-GL-0.01*AL, where CTA is the severity of the attack of ulcerative colitis; TNF-α – tumor necrosis factor of alpha serum, pg/ml; CRP – C-reactive protein in blood serum, mg/l; ESR – sedimentation rate of erythrocytes, mm/hour; α2-GL – α2-serum globulin,%; AL is serum albumin, g/l; and with CTA value in the range from 0 to 0.5, there is no attack or remission of the disease, CTA value in the range from 0.5 to 1.2 corresponds to the mild severity of the attack of the UC, CTA value in the range from 1.2 to 2.2 corresponds to the moderate severity of the attack of the UC, with CTA greater than 2.2 one should speak of a severe attack of the UC.

EFFECT: increase specificity and accuracy of determining severity of attack ulcerative colitis, as well as accessibility and ease of execution.
