FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy and can be used in method of extraction and concentration of yttrium from aqueous solutions. Method of yttrium extraction from aqueous hydrochloric acid solutions involves extraction of mixture of organic acid and kerosene, wherein organic acid is di-2-ethyl-hexyl phosphoric acid with ratio of extraction mixture and hydrochloric acid solution equal to 1:1÷3.0. Extraction is carried out for 15-30 minutes. Then re-extraction is made using sulfuric acid as re-extractant in amount of 180-200 g/dm with addition of sodium chloride in amount of 5-10 g/dm3 or fluoride ion source in amount of 50-150 g/dm3 in terms of fluoride ion. Fluoride ion source is represented by HF, NH4F, KF.
EFFECT: technical result is simplification of process and increased extraction of yttrium.
