FIELD: hydrometallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for extraction of indium from process solutions obtained by processing solutions of lead-zinc production, waste liquid crystal displays, zinc and copper ores, as well as other industrial products of non-ferrous metallurgy. Indium is extracted from sulphuric acid solutions by extraction with an organic phase containing di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid in a diluent, followed by re-extraction with a solution of sulphuric acid with a chloride-containing reagent. In this case, extraction is carried out in the presence of 2-ethylhexyl alcohol and an aliphatic diluent is used, with the ratio of components, vol.%: di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid - 15-20, 2-ethylhexyl alcohol - 5-10, aliphatic diluent - 70 -80.
EFFECT: improved process efficiency, reduced density and viscosity of the organic phase, and improved phase separation.
