SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, in particular, to internal combustion engines (ICE), containing air cleaners to clean air incoming into air cylinders with simultaneous gas-dynamic noise killing function. Air cleaner of ICE of a motor vehicle comprises a housing, on which an air intake pipe is mounted cantilever fashion, wherein at least part of air intake pipe length is made from porous permeable material; air intake pipe wall structure consists of three layers containing metal or polymer mesh carcass element, sound-absorbing porous foamed layer and external protective sound-transparent and gas and water-proof layer.
EFFECT: improved acoustic characteristics of ICE air cleaner for a motor vehicle.
