FIELD: manufacture of engines; multicylinder engines with injection of fuel into cylinders. SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine has cylinder head 1 with intake openings 2 where intake valves 3 are arranged, intake branch pipes 4 running directly from intake openings 2 to gas receiver 6 connected to air cleaning system 5. Side wall of receiver 6 is provided with connecting holes 7 for branch pipes 4. Pipe union 9 is mounted in receiver 6 longitudinally and is secured on side wall 8; outlet of pipe union is connected to air cleaning system 5. Pipe union 9 is made from gas-penetrable sound-absorbing material. Length of pipe union is no less than distance between point of its attachment on receiver 6 and farthest shear 10 of connecting hole 7 of extreme (relative to attachment point) intake branch pipe 4. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency in wide frequency and speed range at simultaneous simplification of construction, reduced metal usage and overall dimensions; effective arrangement of units in engine compartment. 8 cl, 8 dwg
