SUBSTANCE: invention relates to distribution of advertisement type content in multimedia streams throughout the Internet. Technical solution ensures the possibility of segmented insert of advertisement, for example segmented periods of advertisement associated with the distributed content. At least in some embodiments offers are received from advertisers on placing advertisements in a combination with segmented advertisement period. Offers obtained may have different durations (for example, 60, 30, 15 seconds), which can be selectively engaged with the help of the segmented advertisement period in various combinations to fill the total duration of the segmented advertisement period. At least in some versions of implementation offers are ranked in groups corresponding to different durations. Offers can be distributed in the segment advertisement period by checking one or several combinations of the offers and selecting the best combination, at least partially based on the sum of ranks associated with offers in that combination.

EFFECT: technical result is providing dynamics of segmentation in flows of advertisement periods with given parameters.
