SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method of producing bromobutyl rubber, which involves mixing butyl rubber solution with halogen solution in a hydrocarbon solvent and acceptor of formed hydrogen halide, wherein there is halogenation of butyl rubber with extraction of hydrogen halide, followed by washing, neutralisation and degassing of halobutyl rubber solution and extraction of halobutyl rubber on drying machines of extrusion-type, where acceptor of hydrogen halide used is a substance capable during reaction with hydrogen halide of forming molecular halogen, which further reacts with butyl rubber, wherein dosage of acceptor of hydrogen halide into butyl rubber solution is carried out before halogenation step.

EFFECT: technical result is producing bromobutyl rubber, which is used when making bonded rubber linings of tubeless tyres and other positions requiring high gas-impermeability of polymer and high adhesion properties.
