SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solid materials strength properties study and can be used for structural materials fatigue strength determination, operating under conditions of cyclic loading. Summary: circular sample loading is performed under conditions of cantilever or four-point bending in one plane with specified loading cycle asymmetry coefficient R based on specified number of loading cycles N. used metal material sample, which has wedge-shaped working section, with cylindrical shaped tensions concentrator, which axis is oriented perpendicular to bending plane, wherein sample working section moment of resistance is asymmetrical.
EFFECT: technical result is determination of metal material endurance limit under symmetric and asymmetric cyclic loads, including compression area.
