FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment, namely to methods of determining endurance limit of a material. Core: measured are radii of curvature of surface of the tested material in sections by two planes of the main curvatures and the spherical indenter radius to determine the reduced radius of curvature. Using two different loads within the range corresponding to measurement of hardness introduced is a spherical indenter into the tested material and measured are depths of the two obtained residual imprints. Determined is contact rigidity of the tested material. Determined is maximum uniform deformation at static tension of the tested material sample, by which determined is the endurance limit of the tested material at tension-compression from the relationship.
EFFECT: technical result is a new method of determining endurance limit of a material at tension-compression without destruction of material of parts.
