FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tests for cyclic strength of materials. The method for determining the fatigue resistance parameters of materials is that samples of the material under study are cyclically loaded to destruction at a fixed stress level and the number of loading cycles is determined. At least two groups of material samples are subjected to tests up to destruction at the maximum and minimum frequency of a given test mode, with the determination of their parameters and subsequent correlation on these values of the frequency-velocity spectrum of loading using interpolation functions. The fatigue resistance parameters of materials for any values from this range are determined by the obtained computational and experimental dependence, the magnitude of which is used to judge the degree of operational suitability of materials.
EFFECT: method reduces the complexity of testing and increases the reliability of the results of determining the degree of operational suitability of materials.
