FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in hard materials processing, in particular, by friction welding, or milling, or drilling. On one end of rotary processing tool body shank is located, and on its other end is working part with processing element. Tool body is made with inner cavity in form of truncated cone with expansion directed towards processing part and intended for filling with volatile liquid (VL) in amount, sufficient for tool cooling due to changing its aggregate state by heat transfer from VL evaporation area to its condensation area. Tool shank is made with cooling chamber, tightly separated from body cavity by gasket from high heat-conductive material, and has channels for spent cooling agent introduction into said chamber and its withdrawal from it.
EFFECT: tool experiencing intensive heating during processing of materials, has working area, free from communications, and equipped with efficient and compact cooling system.
