FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: welding tool is immersed in the welded parts in the form of a rotating working rod and then it is moved along the connection length the using additive plate. The additive plate thickness is determined depending on the part edge thickness, tee connection fillet radius, and cross sectional area of the additive plate. The additive plate is fixed by two pairs of pressure rollers mounted on a lever with the possibility of adjusting the distance between them which are located in front of welding tool coaxially with it.
EFFECT: no offset of the additive plate from the connection axis during welding to obtain an allowance on the front connection surface for its subsequent removal by mechanical processing to the predetermined surface smoothness of the cover sheet, the tee connection has a front surface of the cover sheet without excess lowering of joint surface.
