FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to dentistry, and concerns determining tooth enamel surface state at initial stage of demineralization, for determining risk of caries. Method involves affection on vestibular surface of, at least, one tooth with 32-36 % solution of orthophosphoric acid and treatment of etched section with dye in form of 1 % aqueous solution of methylene blue. Subsequent determination of enamel resistance is carried out by color intensity using reference set of different intensities.
EFFECT: method is available, cheap, informative and can be used for express-diagnosis of tooth enamel surface conditions.
