FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing audio signals. Device for generating at least one output audio signal, which is an overlapping of at least two different audio objects, includes a processor for processing an input audio signal to provide an object representation of the input audio signal, where the object representation can be generated by parametrically guided approximation of original objects using the object downmix signal. Object manipulator individually controls the objects using object-oriented audio metadata relating to individual audio objects to obtain manipulated audio objects. Manipulated audio objects are mixed using the object mixer in order to, finally, get the output audio signal having single- or multi-channel signals depending upon a specific rendering setup.

EFFECT: technical result is the increase of signal transmission speed.
