FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to parameters measurement of ionising radiation. Method for assessment of measurement results reliability by a portable dose rate meter in the radioactive contaminated area during formation of the trace of a radioactive cloud consists in that the fact of the surface radioactive contamination of the dose rate meter detection unit at radiation survey by foot order, at that, for detection of radioactive contamination of the detection unit, two measurements of dose rate at heights of 0.1 and 3 metres above radioactively contaminated area are performed and ratio of the obtained readings is compared with a reference number equal to 1.7, which corresponds to the case, when the detection unit is not contaminated with radioactive substances; in case of the detection unit contamination with radioactive substances, obtained ratio is less than the reference value.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification of the measuring parameters method of ionising radiation.
