SUBSTANCE: wireless docking system in a shared radio spectrum environment including: docking station 120) configured with radio (322) connected to antenna (324); dockee (110) configured with radio (312) connected to antenna (314) and using a radio standard with a carrier sensing mechanism for communication with docking station; and antenna efficiency reduction device (328) that reduces sensitivity of carrier sense mechanism in dockee when dockee is physically docked with docking station.
