SUBSTANCE: docking station (220) for wirelessly connecting to a docking device (210) in a shared radio spectrum environment using a radio standard with a carrier monitoring mechanism for communication. The docking station (220) contains: a radio station (224); and an antenna (222) connected to the radio (224). The radio is configured to force a modification of the detection threshold by the carrier monitoring mechanism when the docking device (210) is docked to establish it higher than the modification of the detection threshold by the carrier control mechanism when the docking device (210) is undocked.

EFFECT: optimisation of the communication line due to the fact that only signals from neighboring devices will be strong enough.
