FIELD: security systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for remote security monitoring of an area and can be used in cases of using detection means with an extended linear part in form of a flexible cable, built on a wire-wave or seismic principle of detection, for signalling coverage of three-way road junctions and paths of their bypass. Method involves deploying on road junction and adjoining location to detection means such that, extended linear part of each detection means with length equal to three times width of detection area, lies in close proximity along one of roads, covering its own detection area; in deploying extended linear part of first detection means from point of divergence of roads at a distance, numerically equal to distance, traveled by intruder with maximum allowable speed for a given area for a time, required by triggered detection means for transition into a standby mode after intruder exits its detection area; intersection of section of extended linear part of first detection means, not located along road, central and one of extreme roads; deploying extended linear part of second detection means along extended linear part of first detection means at a distance equal to six times width of detection area, and intersection by section of extended linear part of second detection means, not located along road, central and other extreme roads; using an algorithm which determines direction of movement of intruder on order of arrival over a set time interval of one, two or four alarm signals and ratio between their durations. Method includes a preparatory step with deployment according to a developed scheme extended linear parts of two detection means on an area and a main step which begins from the moment an intruder enters detection area of one of detection means, during which intruder is detected and direction of movement thereof is determined.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of scheme for deployment of extended linear part of detection means and enabling use of detection means, which in their tactical-technical characteristics have width of detection area of up to 10 m and length of extended linear part of up to 250 m.
