FIELD: roads.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for signalling coverage of local area with a road and can be used in cases of use of wire-wave or seismic detection means with an extended linear part (ELP) for signalling coverage of roads and paths of their bypass. Method comprises deploying ELP of one detection means on an area such that it lies across road and bypass paths on right and left, as well as section length, 10 times greater than width of detection zone of detection means, lies along road in close proximity to it so that road is in detection zone throughout length of this section, issuing alarm signal of detection means upon observing offender in detection zone, and determining point of intrusion - movement of offender on road or bypass thereof using an algorithm, which establishes duration of obtained alarm signal from detection means to one of two non-overlapping ranges of time intervals, calculated analytically for each point of intrusion with due allowance for maximum and minimum possible speed of offender, width of detection zone, length of ELP, deployed along road, and time of transition of detection means to standby mode after offender exits detection zone. Method includes a preparatory step with deployment according to developed scheme of ELP of detection means on local section of area with road and a main step, which begins with detection of offender and ends with determination of point of intrusion (movement of offender on road or bypassing it).
EFFECT: technical result consists in determining point of intrusion of local area with road (movement of detected offender on road or bypassing it) using only one detection means.
