FIELD: security systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for remote security monitoring of an area and can be used in cases of using single-position detection means, built on radio beam or infrared principles of detection, for signalling coverage of two-way road junctions. Method involves deploying at a road junction two single-position detection means such that, they are on opposite sides from point of branching of road and axis of detection zone of each detection means lies on one of diverging roads, wherein not less than 4/5 of length of detection zone covers section of road, detection zones themselves intersect at point of branching of road, in providing detection with apparatus for receiving signals, analysis and presentation of information of first alarm signal from detection means upon observing an intruder on junction; providing detection of next alarm signal from corresponding detection means; using an algorithm which determines direction of movement along arriving sequence of two alarm signals, duration of delay between their arrival and ratio between their durations. Method includes a preparatory step with deployment of two detection means on a set scheme and a main step which begins from moment intruder appears on junction and enters detection zone of detection means. During main step direction of movement is determined by a developed algorithm.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of time, costs of effort and means to deploy detection means, providing concealment of use of detection means on area.
