SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for monitoring of cracks during the process of hydraulic fracturing. Invention discloses a system, method and data medium, used for analysis of microseismic data gathered during hydraulic fracturing of formation in an underground area. In some aspects of this invention each base plane of the plurality of basic planes is set on the basis of a subset of microseismic data; wherein each is oriented relative to the common axis. Clusters of orientations of basic planes, previously detected adaptively on the basis of the degree of variability of orientations, can be renewed on the basis of new data. Then the number of orientations associated with each of the clusters is determined.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and reliability of information relating to spatially geometric characteristics of cracks during hydraulic fracturing.
