FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for monitoring cracks in process of hydraulic fracturing. Proposed system, method and software can be used for analysis of microseismic data from an underground zone. In some aspects there are multiple base surfaces, each of which is determined by subset of microseismic data and has a certain orientation relative to common axis. Orientation clusters of base planes are identified adaptively based on degree of change of orientations. Number of orientations associated with each of clusters is identified.
EFFECT: technical result is improved accuracy and reliability of information relating to spatially geometric characteristics of cracks of hydraulic fracturing.
