FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to exhaust gases treatment system. Method to control exhaust gases treatment system components (EATS) for diesel engine contains improved hydrocarbons injection (AHI) system nozzle in the direction of exhaust gases flow, diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) unit, diesel particulate filter (DPF) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system, includes: amount of heat measuring (QDOC), released on DOC unit during hydrocarbons injection cycle by AHI system; amount of heat measurement (QEATS) from fuel injected by AHI system, released on DOC unit and DPF filter during hydrocarbons injection cycle by AHI system; conversion factor measurement (ηSCR) of NOx oxides into N2 by SCR system, when injection of hydrocarbons is not performed by AHI system; amount of supplied heat calculation (QAHI) from fuel injected by AHI system, during hydrocarbons injection cycle in case of injector proper operation; calculating hydrocarbons passing via DOC unit factor value, equal to: 1 - (QDOC/QEATS); calculation of hydrocarbons carryover factor value in AHI system, equal to: 1 - (QEATS/QAHI); and identification of nozzle malfunction in AHI system, of DOC unit, DPF filter or SCR system by comparing each of calculated factors of hydrocarbons via DOC passing, calculated hydrocarbons carryover in AHI system factor and measured NOx oxides conversion factor with preset values.
EFFECT: technical result is providing control over several system components, which does not significantly increase cost or complexity of system itself or its control unit.
