FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed process uses the transducer signal of measurement of parameter relates to nitrogen oxides (NOx) in exhaust gases flowing from exhaust gas afterpurification device. The latter makes a part of exhaust gas afterpurification system to detect the amplitudes of transducer signal of measurements performed in a definite period of measurements and to add the reducing agent to exhaust gases in afterpurification device. Additionally, this process comprises the steps that follow. Added amount of reducing agent is varied in compliance with preset mode for measurement period. NOx content variation amplitude is detected downstream of exhaust gas afterpurification device. Detection and preservation of added amounts of reducing agent when NOx amplitude variations revealed in exhaust gases downstream of afterpurification device are carried out if these satisfy the criteria of optimum adjustment of added quantity. Besides, this invention relates to exhaust gas afterpurification system.
