METHOD OF PREVENTING AND TREATING RETINOPATHY IN PREMATURE NEWBORNS WITH EVIDENT FIBRIN FORMATION AND HEMORRHAGES IN RETINA AND VITREOUS BODY Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61N5/00

Abstract RU 2605495 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and is intended for preventing and treating retinopathy in premature newborns. Vitreoswartotomy is made with pulse IAG-laser at wavelength of 1.064 mcm with dissecting of swart perpendicular to tension of swart on section of its minimum thickness and vascularization. Vitreoswartotomy is made with laser pulses with energy of 5-15 mJ with number of pulses 5-30, and on next day after surgery installation of preparation kollalisin is prescribed in amount of 200 UN per 10 ml of normal saline or water for injections in form of local electrophoresis or magnetophoresis with low-frequency variable rotating magnetic field. During electrophoresis electrode with preparation swab is put behind upper eyelid, passive electrode is applied to rear surface of neck. At first and second session current of 0.2 mA is used, at third and fourth - 0.4 mA, at fifth and sixth - 0.6 mA, at seventh and eighth - 0.8 mA, procedure duration is 10-20 minutes, therapeutic course is 10-15 procedures either daily or every second day. During magnetophoresis preparation is installed in eye directly before procedure, inductor is applied on head, pulse current of 1st stage is used from Pole-3 apparatus with frequency of 17 Hz, induction amplitude 20 Mt, reversal time 10 sec, rotation mode «+», procedure length is 8 minutes, therapeutic course is no more than 8 sessions daily or every second day.

EFFECT: method allows to prevent progression of retinopathy in premature newborns and development of tractional retinal detachment, extending indications for use in degrees III+, IV a-b, V with open profile retinal detachment, with evident fibrin formation and hemorrhages in retina and vitreous body.
