CORRUGATION CASE TO PROTECT GLOBE JOINT AGAINST DUST, DIRT AND MOISTURE Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC F16C11/06 

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: corrugation case to protect globe joint against dust, dirt and moisture is corrugated pipe (2) out of rubber, at pipe ends there are surfaces for connection to the globe joint parts. At one end the corrugated pipe (2) has band (1) of cylindrical shape for connection to shank of the glove head of the hinge joint, and at opposite end the pipe (2) has surface in form of flange (4) with holes (5) for screws to secure the corrugated case using the pressing sheet to the hinge joint casing. Between the surface made in form of flange (4), and corrugated part of the rubber pipe there is cylindrical section, its length is determined by tests depending on outside diameter of seating surface of the globe hinge casing to exclude possibility of the tool insertion to clamp the screws in the closest corrugation of the corrugated part of the rubber pipe (2).

EFFECT: exclusion of accidental damage of the corrugated case by tool during the corrugated case securing on the globe hinge casing, due to significant decreasing of the tool movement length till stop against the corrugated case, this in its turn decreases speed of tool movement.
