FIELD: mechanical engineering; protective casings for ball joints. SUBSTANCE: protective casing has elastomer tubular member with corrugations between connecting sections of different diameters having circular projections on inner side and circular slots on outer side. Connecting section of lesser diameter is made in form of stepped bush whose lesser step is directed inside tubular member and larger step is formed by dampening lug thickening the wall of adjacent corrugation. Ends of lesser step of bush have sealing bands. outer side of end surface of lesser step has circular recess. Damping lug has varying profile. Outer and inner rounded-off areas of tubular member corrugations are of radius type; free length of tubular member exceeds mounting length. EFFECT: enhanced durability of casing. 5 cl, 3 dwg
