FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to traumatology and orthopaedics and can be used for treatment of open and complicated fractures of distal shin at location of wound outside its outer surface. Skeletal traction is applied. Reposition and fixation of fibular bone is performed in one stage with shinbone, fixing both fractures with one plate with screws. Plate is placed on outer surface of fibular bone, and screws are introduced from outside inwards at angle of 45° to frontal plane. Skeletal traction is removed.
EFFECT: method enables osteosynthesis by plate in case if it is impossible to locate it on shinbone.
