SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing compounds of transition metals of overall composition MeaCbNcHd, where Me is a transition metal or a mixture of transition metals, a = 1-4, b = 6-9, c = 8-14, d = 0-8. In method, reaction mixture consisting of transition metals and/or compounds of transition metals and uncondensed or low-condensed C-N-H-compounds, undergoes heat treatment in a first temperature range 150-570 °C. Content of transition metals and/or compounds of transition metals is at least 6 mol%, preferably, 10-40 mol%, in relation to reaction mixture. Uncondensed or low-condensed C-N-H-compounds used are cyanamide, and/or ammonium dicyandiamide, and/or dicyandiamide, and/or melamine. Invention also relates to thus obtained compounds of transition metals and their use.

EFFECT: providing cheap production of materials with a cubic phase.
