SUBSTANCE: sample is taken hydropic liquid from own vaginal tunic of testicle, hydropic liquid is aspirated and delivered for examination of sex hormones: total testosterone and oestradiol, at same time blood serum is sampled by elbow peripheral vein puncture of same patient, in blood serum samples level of sex hormones is determined, namely total blood testosterone (Ts_bl), as well as blood oestradiol (E_bl). Comparative analysis is carried out using electrochemiluminesence method. If content of total testosterone in hydropic liquid considerably exceeds constant Ts_water>52.05 nmol/l, then varicocele accompanying dropsy or dropsy following surgical management of varicocele is diagnosed; observing total oestradiol in hydropic liquid, which disproportionally high relative to total blood oestradiol (E_water>E_bl), dropsy due to higher activity of epididymis hydatid is diagnosed, which is indication to surgical intervention.

EFFECT: using declared method enables more effective diagnosis of testicular shells dropsy.
