SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a lighting device for lighting part of a room, in particular, a complex of slot machines, with a viewing panel of at least partially transparent material, through which light can flow, as well as to a panel retaining device comprising retainers to retain viewing panels and fixing devices for installation of the viewing panel on the ceiling and on the wall. Retaining device comprises at least three interconnected retaining brackets shaped as a star and holding at least two parts of the viewing panel with the viewing panel parts inner walls. Inner walls of the viewing panel parts border with each other so that the said parts of the viewing panel form, in fact, a continuous surface of the viewing panel. Parts of the viewing panel have free outer walls, which are not held by the retaining brackets and which together form an external contour of the viewing panel.

EFFECT: technical result is wider range of equipment for lighting a room with illumination of a certain section.
