FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly to trackless vehicles. Vehicle wheel brake mechanism comprises a support disk with brake shoes, tension springs and a braking cylinder. In the lower part of the brake shoes there are rods passing through bushings rigidly fixed on the support disk and equipped with taper thrusts interacting with a wedge block connected by links with upper ends of the brake shoes.
EFFECT: provided is longer service life of brake shoes due to uniform wear of their pads.
