SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Circular suturing instrument comprises case, thrust unit, staple pusher and locking mechanism. Thrust unit is configured to move forward and backward from open position to closed position. Staple pusher can move in case from ready position to spent position. Locking mechanism automatically blocks staple pusher in ready position and does not allow it move to spent position.
EFFECT: locking mechanism is also designed so that, whenever thrust unit is in closed position, it automatically unlocks staple pusher from ready position and allows it move to spent position.
