SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of purification of exhaust gases. System for processing exhaust gases containing NOx, from the engine comprises the flow monolith, which has the first catalytic composition for selective catalytic reduction of NOx and has the first volume. Closely located particulate filter has the second catalytic composition for reducing the amount of solids and selective catalytic reduction of NO and the second volume. Ratio of volumes of the first volume to the second volume is less than about 1:2. Flow monolith is in fluid communication with the particulate filter and is integrated upstream of it. Flow monolith (20) has a lower heat capacity than that of the particulate filter (22).
EFFECT: flow monolith has the catalyst loading per unit volume, which is greater than the catalyst loading per unit volume of the parietal flow particulate matter filter substrate that contains the second catalyst composition.
