FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the manufacture of thermal protection parts and medical devices. First produce a porous reinforcing base of carbon fibers on the surface of the carbon heater by the methods of laying or winding of carbon filaments, bundles, strips, fabrics or felt. Heater is made of carbon plate with a ratio of length:width of at least 1 and is located inside the reinforcing base. Then pyrocarbon matrix is formed in a medium of gaseous hydrocarbons at a temperature above the temperature of their decomposition under temperature gradient conditions created by heater.
EFFECT: invention allows to simplify the production of flat plates of carbon-carbon composite material and to provide their optimum reinforcement, and hence mechanical strength.
