FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. The composite implant made of a porous composite material comprising a carbon matrix, a reinforcing frame made of carbon fibers, and open pore of volume not less than 5% of the material volume, and pores of the composite material are partially or fully filled with a solution of an organic iodine-containing substance not causing toxic effects on the human body, in an amount of 0.01-0.1 g per 1 kg of body weight, with the substance content of at least 3 mg per 1 cm3 of composite. A method is described, which comprises production of a composite assembly of a reinforcing frame of carbon fibers and frame processing in the medium of gaseous hydrocarbon or hydrocarbons mixture at a temperature above the hydrocarbon decomposition temperature, with carbon formation, and subsequent production of the desired shape of implant workpiece by composite material machining and subsequent exposure of the workpiece of the desired shape in a solution of an organic iodide.
EFFECT: composite implant is used to compensate bone defects, provides high radiopacity.
