SUBSTANCE: implant for vertebral bodies replacement is made of a carbon-carbon composite material comprising a pyrocarbon matrix and a multidirectional reinforcing frame made of rods. Frame rods are formed of carbon fibers arranged along the rod axis. The composition of rods of one, several or all directions of reinforcement contains one or more chemical compounds of aluminum, silicon, calcium, titanium, zirconium, niobium, hafnium, tantalum or tungsten in an amount of 0.1-10% by weight of the rod.

EFFECT: implant for vertebral bodies replacement has mechanical properties similar to the properties of bone, is suitable for operations by radiopaque prosthesis and facilitates observation of the patient in the postoperative period using x-ray diagnostic methods, improves the reliability of endoprosthesis replacement.
