METHOD OF WELL IMAGING Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC E21B47/02 E21B47/12

Abstract RU 2607669 C2

FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to well enviroment imaging method using well visualization system. Disclosed is well enviroment imaging method using well imaging system, which contains following stages: movement of downhole tool into borehole environment; reading during movement of one or more physical parameters using one or more sensors, generating sensors signals, reflecting one or more physical parameters in borehole environment; processing of sensors signals for providing of sensors data; temporary storage in well data buffering device of buffered sensors data received with preset sampling frequency; transmission of first part of sensor data into wellhead data processing device with specified first transmission rate, which is equal or less to said sampling frequency; processing first part of sensors data using wellhead data processing device and well enviroment imaging based on first part of sensors data; sending control signal from wellhead data processing device to downhole data processing device based on event, for example, abrupt change of one or more physical parameters during well enviroment imaging, with changing so transmission speed from first transmission rate to second transmission rate; transmission of at least partially, second part of data stored in downhole data buffering device to wellhead data processing device; and well enviroment imaging based on first part of sensors data and second part of sensors data, chronologically before and after said event, without reversing of downhole tool movement.

EFFECT: technical result is optimizing data transmission under various operating conditions.
