FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines equipped with exhaust gas recirculation systems. Exhaust gases recirculation system (EGR system) diagnostic technique involves, that engine (10) is provided with possibility to operate during time exceeding threshold value of time, when EGR system bypass valve (84) is in first state. Notified on EGR system cooler (82) performance deterioration in response to issuing command to switch EGR system bypass valve (84) to second state based on difference of actual gas temperature in EGR system and expected gas temperature in EGR system before changing bypass valve (84) state. Disclosed is invention version of exhaust gases recirculation system diagnostic technique and exhaust gases recirculation system.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of diagnostics process.
