SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact coolers, in particular to cooling towers, and can be used in thermal power plants to cool circulating water. Cooling tower comprises a housing, a spray device, a liquid collecting tank and a fan, the housing is composed of two parts – an upper part including a sprinkler and a drop separator, between which the collector of the spraying device with full-scale nozzles is located, and the lower part, in which a tank is located for collecting cooled water with a fan mounted on it, body being made of thin-gauge stainless steel, and in the tank-header there is a diffuser, which is a part of the body and is connected to a fan made with a plastic impeller and a multi-speed electric motor that allows, depending on the weather conditions, change the capacity of the cooling tower by changing the air flow rate, and the sprinkler contains layers of thermoplastic material with a lattice wall folded in layers parallel to each other, at the ends of the tubular elements are welded together, the tubular elements are made with a triangular cross-section and between each layer of tubular elements across the tubular elements along each of their ends a strip of thermoplastic material is welded with tubular elements in places where they come into contact with the strip, and during the welding process, the end sections of the tubular elements and the strips laid between them are fused and form in the process of melting the monolithic end walls of the block, cavities of each of the tubular elements and the annular space are filled with packing elements. Nozzle element is made in the form of a cylindrical ring, on the side, inner and outer surfaces of which a screw thread is made, or in the form of a ball, on the surface of which blind holes of hemispherical shape are made, the nozzle element is made in the form of a cylindrical ring, on the lateral inner surface of which are fixed partitions in the form of holes perpendicular to the axis of the ring of washers, axes of which are asymmetric to the axis of the ring, or the element of the nozzle is made in the form of a block inscribed in a circle, consisting of seven interconnected side edges of hexagonal parallelepipeds without upper and lower bases, or the nozzle element is made in the form of interconnected helical spirals, inscribed in a spherical surface with a center lying on the axis of the connection of the spirals, or the nozzle element is made in the form of at least twelve connected three-bladed propellers, the projection of which on the plane of the drawing fits into a circle with a center coinciding with the center of one of them.
