ELECTRIC DEVICE FOR LEAKAGE CURRENT LIMITATION IN MEDICAL DEVICES, CONNECTED TO PATIENT, OPERATING FROM ACCUMULATOR BATTERIES Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B5/428 A61N1/362 H02H5/12

Abstract RU 2607922 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to medicine. Method for electric leakage current limitation by means of medical device, connected to patient. Wherein accumulator battery is inserted in battery compartment. Accumulator battery is electrically connected to power output and accumulator battery connection terminals of battery compartment. Power output is one of first and second outputs of power supply. Electrically conductive circuit is set between one of accumulator battery terminals and patient. Electrically conductive circuit is independent from means, at which information is transmitted from sensors or electrodes, placed on patient, to electronic components of device, connected to patient or transmission of signals to above sensors or electrodes from electronic components. Current flow between power output and corresponding power input is blocked until input voltage is not pre-selected working input voltage. First and/or second set of switching devices facilitate current blocking. Preliminarily selected working input voltage is voltage, taken from battery compartment, when it is completely filled with accumulator batteries. Medical device, connected to patient, comprises battery compartment, electronic components, system for electric leakage current limitation, comprising first and second sets of switching devices. Battery compartment for accumulator batteries connects accumulator batteries in series and includes first and second outputs of power supply. Electronic components include first and second inputs of power supply. Switching devices of first set selectively connect first power output of battery compartment with first input of power supply of electronic components, based on first input voltage polarity of battery compartment input voltage. Switching devices of second set selectively connect second power output of battery compartment with second input of power supply of electronic components, based on second input voltage polarity of battery compartment input voltage, wherein first polarity is opposite to second polarity. Gate-source transition switching voltage of first and second sets is full input voltage, corresponding to output voltage of battery compartment, when it is completely filled with accumulator batteries. First and second sets do not connect their inputs with their corresponding outputs until all batteries are not installed in battery compartment.

EFFECT: limitation of leakage current is achieved.
