METHOD OF CONTROLLING MEDICAL DEVICE POWERED BY STORAGE BATTERY TO COMPENSATE FOR PASSIVATION THEREOF (EMBODIMENTS) Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/487 H01M10/42 H01M10/44 H01M10/48

Abstract RU 2831109 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method of controlling a medical device includes activating a processor in a medical device in a low-power operation mode, measuring a first voltage level of a storage battery, supply of at least one discharge pulse to the accumulator battery in response to the fact that the first voltage level in the accumulator battery exceeds the specified threshold value of minimum voltage passivation and less than the specified threshold value of maximum voltage passivation, measurement of the second voltage level of the storage battery after at least one discharge pulse and controlling the processor in the medical device in a high-power operation mode to continue operation of the medical device only in response to the fact that the second voltage level is greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold value of the operating voltage, wherein the specified threshold value of the operating voltage exceeds the specified threshold value of the minimum voltage passivation and is less than or equal to the specified threshold value of the maximum voltage passivation.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will make it possible to improve glucometers and other medical devices powered by accumulator batteries, which detect and compensate for accumulator battery passivation.
